In the afternoon, we met with U.S. Representative Jared Polis. Rep. Polis represents Colorado's Second Congressional District, which includes Boulder, and he was born in Boulder. We discussed gun policy, immigration and the environment. Rep. Polis talked about the importance of action at the local and state levels. Rep. Polis also advised us that we can achieve more by uniting the youth voice and choosing a shared issue on which to focus.
